meet jess...à la mode

This is Jess à la mode, a newsletter about My worldview that everyone is a student & everyone deserves to be developed.

I started this lil corner of space on the internet in November 2022 after having the realization/ electric shot of inspiration that I should put all my journalings and musings in one place. I was sitting on the floor of an old chateau in Southeast France with a fire cracklin’ alongside a new friend, my best friend, and our yoga retreat host playing a game that was essentially a group coaching session. Writing more formally and putting it out into the world came as an answer to a question I was asking and I was like “huh. I guess I CAN do that. Can I? Would anyone care?”

And then I realized I didn’t CARE if anyone cared. Yeah it’s nice to feel like I’ve left people better than I found them with my work or presence but I had this full body realization that I didn’t need the likes or validation to feel motivated to keep this lil corner of the internet alive and kickin’ with my musings. It’s a challenge to myself to JUST DO IT, to only seek validation from myself, and to follow what FEELS GOOD.

& so, Jess à la mode was born.
